The seven characters are scheduled to ship in two groups in November; availability and final stock levels are not specified.
Howard “Quiggly” Chang’s Ancientz Minis will make their first consumer retail release on Walmart.com, with preorders for all seven Chapter 1 V.2 characters opening Oct. 8, the first day of New York Comic Con. The launch takes Chang’s sci-fi collectible line beyond the convention circuit and its earlier Kickstarter beginnings, though the report does not state prices or how many units will be available.
The initial Walmart.com offering includes David, Gideon, Joshua and Noah, scheduled to ship Nov. 1, followed by Deborah, Rahab and Goliath, scheduled for Nov. 30. The preorder window is expected to remain open through the end of October, subject to availability. The source gives planned shipment dates, but does not confirm that orders will arrive on those dates.
Chang created Ancientz as an original science-fiction interpretation of biblical figures. In the line’s story, the characters are robotic beings awakened in a near-future world. The designs combine action-figure influences with an art-toy style, including exaggerated sculpting and character detail, according to The Toy Book’s report.
The Walmart.com launch covers the Chapter 1 V.2 Minis. Collectors can also find the larger Chapter 1 Alpha Edition Legend Series through Walmart.com and the Ancientz storefront at Glorius Art. Those light-up figures stand 10 to 15 inches tall, and the report lists quantities of 400 to 750 per character; it does not clarify whether those figures are available at the same time as the Minis preorders.
Ancientz Moves Into Online Retail
The Walmart.com release gives Chang’s independently developed property a mass-retail online channel after its earlier presence at conventions and on Kickstarter. That makes the seven-character set available through a major retailer’s website, extending its potential reach beyond collectors who encountered the line at events or through Glorius Art.
The move also puts a broader release behind a project Chang initially assembled and hand-painted himself, as described in The Toy Book report. It is a notable distribution change for the line, but the available information does not establish expected sales, retailer promotion, or the size of Walmart’s order.
For collectors, the stated two-date shipping schedule offers a practical guide to when each group is expected to ship. The split means buyers interested in the full lineup may need to track both November dates. Whether the schedule or stock will change is not addressed in the source.

From Kickstarter to Walmart.com
Ancientz began as a Kickstarter project, with Chang initially hand-painting and assembling figures himself. The new Minis release represents the line’s first consumer retail release, according to The Toy Book. The report does not provide the campaign date, funding total, or details of earlier production runs.
Chang’s earlier work includes years at Varner Studios, where he advanced from Mold Maker to Lead Designer and worked on hundreds of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, the report says. That background provides context for the sculpting and character design behind Ancientz; it does not establish any connection between the new line and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.
The retail announcement is timed to New York Comic Con, with preorders opening on the convention’s first day, Oct. 8. The report identifies the planned preorder window and ship dates but does not give a year for those dates, so buyers should check the retailer listing for current timing.

Prices and Stock Remain Unreported
The source does not list prices, product dimensions for the Minis, or a total production quantity. It says preorders will continue through October while supplies last, leaving the amount of available stock and the likelihood of sellouts unknown.
The Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 dates are presented as scheduled shipment dates. The report does not say whether they are guaranteed, whether shipping delays are possible, or how delivery timing may vary by customer location. It also does not specify whether the seven characters will be sold individually, as a bundle, or in both formats.
For the Alpha Edition Legend Series, the report gives a range of 400 to 750 per character but does not explain the basis or timing of that count. It is unclear whether those quantities refer to production, current inventory, or another measure.
